Episode 42: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey

Issue 5 of the Batgirl and the Birds of Prey are brought to us by writers Julie and Shawna Benson, pencils by Roge Antonio, and colors by Allen Passalaqua.  This is the issue where we discover who this psuedo Oracle is right before our eyes.

What a wild run this story arc Who is Oracle? For me personally, this story arc is more about how will these characters be used in this Rebirth Universe.  Batgirl, coming out of the ashes of Burnside, Black Canary walking off he stage of her solo run, but the Huntress, she's not pre-Crisis, nor is she pre New 52.  She is not even the new 52 version that we say in Grayson, which is a great interpretation, but what do I know?  Yes, this arc is about finding out who is this new Oracle, which we will get to, but the really question is who is Huntress.

Episode 40: The Hostage Heart Conclusion

Written by Chuck Dixon and Illustrated by Butch Guice, we get the "Conclusion" to the the Hostage Heart saga, which actually is a continuation from Hunt for Oracle story.  Mark and Ashford had a lot of fun with this one.  Babs, Dinah, and Ted.  What's not to like?

Episode 39: The Hostage Heart Part 2

Black Canary is Gorilla City with Lady Vic, who tried to kill her recently, Death Stroke, who is MIA at the moment, and Grimm, a gorilla who is fond of human behavior.  These band of misfits are going down the yellow brick road to find a heart for Block Buster.  This is a story with Grodd, and he is not amused.

Chuck Dixon scripts a wonderful story, and the artwork by Butch Guice is simply fab.
